SCHNIBBLES TIMES TWO, by Carrie Nelson (Miss Rosie’s Quilt Company):  What could be more fun than a small quilt from 5″ charm squares?  A large one just like it from 10″ layer cake squares!  You can also use your scraps for these adorable quilts.  (By the way, schnibbles means scraps of fabric.)   Enjoy 12 pairs of beautiful quilts in this book.

Customer Quilt Corner:

I used to take pictures of most of the quilts I quilted.  However, when I moved the shop to Bristol in January 2009 I didn’t have a good place to do it, so very few pictures were made after that.   I had the same problem in the new shop, till a few days ago, when I figured out how I could hang a curtain rod from the ceiling to quickly hang up a quilt for photos.    The following quilt is the first one to get its picture made on the new rod.   It was pieced by Midge Merrill and is a good example of a quilt with applique that doesn’t necessarily need custom quilting.   An overall design worked just fine on her beautiful quilt.  (Yes, you can sometimes quilt over applique and the quilt police will not come after you!)

By the way, if anyone has a picture of a quilt I quilted for them over the past two years and wants to email me a copy I’d love to have some of the pictures I neglected to take.

Gift Certificate Winner:

At the end of each month (for a limited time)  there will be a random drawing for a $25 gift certificate from all the new email subscribers for that month.   This month’s winner is  Deborah Soike!  Congratulations Deborah!
