Saturday Sampler update; New arrivals

February 13, 2011

Saturday Sampler update:

In order to give everyone more options of getting to a Saturday Sampler session, I’ve decided to let you also come on the Monday and Tuesday following the second Saturday of each month.  So as long as you’ve completed the block from the month before you can come on any one of the three days and get your fabric for the next block for FREE!    We should have at least one sample block made up soon for each colorway of the Tonga Nature pattern.    As a reminder, the queen and king sized finishing kits ($95 and $115) will get the 10% discount (for being over $75) and you will get your punch card punched as well.

New Fabric Arrival:

Wild Rose II by Marti Michell for Maywood Studios has just arrived.  I think it would make a beautiful log cabin quilt!

 Needle Nannies:

What is a needle nanny?  It’s a pretty and practical tool that will keep needles, pins and scissors from getting lost while you do hand work on your quilt (or other needlework).  They are made using two high quality, VERY powerful magnets.  Attach it to your quilt or even to your clothes and you won’t be losing your needles, pins or scissors anymore!   Measures 1.5 inches tall and 1.5 inches wide.

Needle Nannies $10.95

Dr. Seuss

We all grew up with the stories of Dr. Seuss.  Here’s a sample quilt made with the new fabric.  The pattern is from Fons and Porter’s December 2010 magazine.  And, yes, the I know the sashings are crooked…. I think Dr. Seuss would have wanted them that way!

We now carry American Patchwork and Quilting, Quilts & More, and Quilt Sampler magazines.  (Quilt Sampler won’t be out till May 1st).

Customer Quilt Pictures:

I’ve just added a page to the blog where you can find pictures of customer quilts from now on.   (Look under “Pages” in the right hand column)
